Kimberlea K Beats the Boys

PLEASANTON, Calif. (July 8, 2017) – Unbeaten California-bred Kimberlea K, the lone filly in the race, went wire to wire to win Saturday’s $100,675 Everett Nevin Stakes for Golden State Series eligible 2-year-olds at the Oak Tree at Pleasanton meet.

Kimberlea K is the first stakes winner by Indian Evening, out of the Pure Prize mare No Better Terms, was bred by owner KMN Racing and is trained by Jerry Hollendorfer.

She has won both of her starts with earnings of $77,280 and was coming off a June 17 maiden win.

Sent off as the 9-10 favorite, Kimberlea K ran the 5 ½ furlongs in 1:05.27 and won by 1 ¾ lengths in a field of nine.
